What is Osmosis?

Osmosis is a Layer 1, Proof-of-Stake blockchain built using the Cosmos SDK that has optimized its design for automated market makers (AMMs). Osmosis is the largest interchain DEX (decentralized exchange) in the Cosmos IBC ecosystem, and is powered by the OSMO token. OSMO is used for voting on governance, staking, transaction fees, and liquidity providing. The Osmosis DEX allows users to create their own liquidity pools and bond assets.
